This position is primarily responsible for assisting patrons with library services, including media and design, in the Undergraduate Library. The Access Services Technician will search for, and check out, library materials such as books, DVDs, and equipment. They also help users find and access the library’s databases and streaming media resources. This position supervises the main UL Service Desk daily, including managing and directing the service desk assistants who are working during those times and liaising with facilities and housekeeping staff to address relevant needs as they are reported.
The Access Services Technician is secondarily responsible for the execution of various special projects under the direction of permanent Undergraduate Library & Media and Design Center supervisors.
