One of our valued Malaysian clients (specializing in importing and distributing optical products including lenses and optical elements) is seeking an Account Admin Intern to support account management, billing, and accounts receivable operations. This internship is perfect for someone with strong attention to detail, English and/or Mandarin proficiency, and an interest in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working with customers on payment matters.
Work Arrangement
Full-time (6-month Internship), Remote (40 hrs/week)
Working Days & Hours
Saturday to Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Malaysia Time, GMT+8)
Compensation Package
- Monthly Allowance (IDR 2,500,000)

Key Responsibilities
- Billing & Documentation: Issue receipts and credit notes. Prepare Statement of Account (SOA). Handle customer queries on billing.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor accounts receivable aging. Follow up with customers on outstanding payments. Record and allocate incoming payments. Reconcile customer accounts.
- Coordination & Month-End Support: Liaise with sales team on collection matters. Assist in month-end closing.
Requirements (Must-Have)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Basic knowledge or experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance
- English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and basic accounting software
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills for professional customer follow-ups
- Proactive, able to work independently, and handle sensitive financial information professionally
- Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
Requirements (Nice-to-Have)
- Mandarin proficiency (spoken and written) is highly preferred
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, or finance roles
- Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems
- Understanding of accounts receivable aging and reconciliation processes
