In this Accountant 3 position, you will have the opportunity to serve in the capacity of the Sales Audit Manager within the Cash Management and Sales Audit Division at the PLCB. This includes reviewing exceptions and errors raised as part of the sales audit process to provide guidance or investigate as appropriate, collaborating with internal personnel to resolve issues or develop plans, and performing a full range of supervisory duties. Exercise your leadership skills to oversee internal operating controls, processes, and practices within the Sales Audit team.

This essential role also monitors accounting and reporting of the Liquor License Fund in accordance with the Pennsylvania Liquor Code, overseeing the annual return of $4M+ of liquor license fees to municipalities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (Flexible), Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with the exception of reporting to the Northwest Office Building on Board meeting dates once every two to three weeks, and as operational needs dictate. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as an Accountant 2; or

Three years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting.

Four years of bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation. A Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field may be substituted for one year of general work experience.

Legal Requirements:

You must pass a background investigation.  An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.  Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
