Job Description
A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Accounting Data Assistant.
Position type:
Full-time, Contract. Duration: 12 months with possible extension.
Location:
Houston, TX 77002 Hybrid.
Overview
This position plays a critical part in ensuring customer payments are accurately reviewed, researched, and applied. The role is primarily focused on precision-based data entry within the CDM module, with opportunities to collaborate and support teammates handling similar payment-related tasks.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
At the heart of this role is CDM data entry. You’ll spend your day analyzing customer payment information and navigating internal systems to determine proper payment applications. The work is structured and repetitive in nature, making attention to detail and consistency essential for success.
Beyond the Basics
While CDM data entry is the core responsibility, you may occasionally step in to assist teammates with payment research tasks. These activities closely mirror your primary duties, ensuring continuity and ease when shifting between tasks.
Skills That Set You Up for Success
- Comfortable working independently for extended periods
- Flexible and able to transition smoothly between similar tasks
- Proficient in basic Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, sorting, and filtering
Work Style & Schedule
- This is a hybrid position, offering the best of both worlds:
- Consistency in Wednesday office attendance is required.
Who We’re Looking For
- Candidates with a few years of professional experience are preferred
- A background in finance, accounts payable, or accounts receivable is advantageous
- Industry experience is flexible — professionals from diverse sectors have thrived in this role
- This position is best suited for experienced candidates rather than entry‑level applicants
Tools & Technology
You’ll work with proprietary internal systems, including:
- Remitco – primary platform for data entry
- Genesis – access to customer information
- CAD – used for payment and customer research
- Don’t worry if these tools are new to you — full training is provided.
Training & Onboarding
- We’ve built a supportive and hands‑on training experience to set you up for success:
- Training typically spans 2–3 weeks, depending on your learning pace.
Education & Assessment
- Glider assessment is part of the hiring process

Pay Range and Benefits
Pay Range*: $22.00 – $24.13 per hour
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
