Full Job Description
Supply Management Coordinator
NAU Urology Specialists is looking to hire an organized individual who has knowledge of medical supplies as well as the ability to facilitate tasks assigned to them. Driving between locations is required, and mileage will be provided. This entry level position is great for a recent college grad, or a parent looking for work during school hours.
Primary Overview
Responsible for the oversight and management of all purchased materials and system components.
Organize and maintain material requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, etc. in a timely manner.
Monitor inventory at multiple locations and make purchases to have an appropriate amount of material available at the proper location and the appropriate time.
Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements to achieve the best total value position.
Examine and evaluate marketplace business conditions, vendor opportunities and new product introductions.
Engage in sourcing to improve quality, cost, lead time and find alternative or new vendors in different geographies.
Responsible for controlling the company inventory, making sure that the inventory level is reviewed on a continuous basis, setting stock levels.
Must have a valid driver’s license to run office errands.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily:
Order and replenish stock at all locations
Process on-demand requests
Provide back-order resolution
Transfer stock to other locations as needed
Transfer equipment to other locations as needed
Run errands for Dr. Mistry, Practice Administrator, and Clinical Supervisor
Research products (as needed) and provide cost analysis to providers and supervisors
Assess controlled substances and make adjustments to orders as needed
Weekly:
32 hours spent taking inventory and organizing practice locations
8 hours spent on special tasks as outlined by Dr. Mistry
Monthly:
Assess open and filled slots for various procedures that require special order equipment.
Adjust par levels if necessary (including extra orders for vasectomathons)
Ensure crash carts are up to date and in compliance with state guidelines
Re-check pricing for commonly used items across vendors. Make a note of any price increases or reductions and update the price template.
Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to adapt quickly to change
Ability to lift 20-30 lbs without assistance
Ability to transport large items between clinic locations
Good communication skills
Good negotiation skills with our suppliers
