Data Entry Clerk
Data entry is all about speed, accuracy, and attention to detail A Data Entry Clerk is responsible for transferring data into computer files or database systems. They handle typing in product information into the website and or creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures. Attention to detail is essential, as mistakes can lead to problems that are more significant.
Job brief
We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to type information into our website or excel spreadsheets from other supplied excel spreadsheets or websites. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data. After a 30 day training period, this will be a remote position.
Responsibilities
Insert or transfer product data from vendors by inputting text based and numerical information from outside data sources to internal spreadsheets or website within time limits
Compile, verify accuracy by comparing it to source data and map information into a spreadsheet or website.
Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output.
Report data errors to general manager.
Keep information confidential
Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
Update existing data
Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintain a safe and clean workspace
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
You report to the General Manager
Requirements & Skills
Proven data entry working experience
Typing speed and accuracy
A high concentration level
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, etc.
Trustworthy with a great attention to detail
Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
Basic understanding of databases
Good command of English both oral and written
High school diploma
A computer with updated Microsoft Office

This is an Hourly Wage position
Monday- Friday
Approximate Times 8:00 am- 4:00 pm ½-hour lunch plus 2 additional breaks.
After a 30 day training period, this will be a remote position.
