The Showroom Admin Assistant supports the Showroom Marketing division by coordinating events, managing contracts, organizing communications, maintaining records, and ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.
Starting pay begins $29.85 and increases to $31.25 upon successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features competitive pay and excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Two years of administrative experience
Promotion or event planning experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with tribal entities
Gaming experience
Additional education/experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide administrative support to the showroom division of marketing
Assist in the execution of all concerts and events both on and off site
Assist in the organization of casino events as needed
Assist in the completion of contracts and riders for scheduled events
Process outgoing mail, and sorts, distributes, and routes incoming mail
Maintain meeting and event calendars, scheduling meetings as necessary
Distribute and post office correspondence, reports, and memos
Complete accurate department documents and maintains all historical records
Maintain an efficient office filing and records system
Maintain division supplies, inventories stock, places orders, and verifies receipt
Coordinate and communicate event schedules with other departments
Perform other duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES:
The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and customer service skills, with a thorough understanding of casino policies, gaming regulations, and internal controls. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software is essential, along with excellent organization, prioritization, and time management abilities. Candidates should demonstrate critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Professionalism, courtesy, adaptability, and a proactive mindset are key, as well as meticulous recordkeeping, effective planning, scheduling, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting/standing for up to 10 hours per day in a Office/Gaming Floor/Event environment
Walking/climbing, reaching/bending/crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting items up to 40 lbs.
Hand eye coordination: using eyesight with finger dexterity
Concentrating in loud/busy situations
Subject to a working in a casino smoke-filled environment
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and obtain a Class IIIA license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
