We’re Dark and Quirky, a monthly subscription-based book box company creating collector’s editions in collaboration with the authors themselves. Each box includes a specially designed book—complete with exclusive covers, sprayed edges, and other unique touches—along with a few extras to make the reading experience feel even more special. We’re a small team of book lovers and as we grow, we’re looking for someone who can bring that same energy and creativity to our team.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a detail-obsessed, creative-minded Project Manager to lead production of our next special edition romance book release. You’ll be responsible for coordinating artists, designers, formatters, and editors—from contracts to concept to final print-ready files. This is a contract position that requires excellent organization, proactive communication, and a solid understanding of creative book production.

Qualifications:

3+ years experience in project management or creative production (books, publishing, or media preferred).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contractors on complex timelines.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and leadership ability.
Familiarity with romance books, tropes, and aesthetic trends is a bonus.

Job Types: Contract, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
