Job Overview:
VEC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized full time entry level Data Clerk to join our construction technology team. This role is responsible for maintaining and organizing essential project records, entering data into various databases, communicating with team members to verify information, and ensuring accuracy in documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and update data in company databases and spreadsheets.
Maintain and organize construction project documents
Set up projects in various softwares
Provide managers with timesheet data for review and updates
Verify data for accuracy and completeness, making necessary corrections.
Generate reports and summaries as required by management.
Communicate with project managers and administrative staff to ensure data integrity.
Scan, file, and retrieve documents as needed.
Perform general clerical duties such as copying, printing, and organizing files.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Prior experience in data entry, office administration, or construction-related work is a plus but not required.
