Job Description
The Admin, Disability Management is responsible for monitoring and inputting WCB and ESDC information related to injury on duty into the Incident Management System/other systems. Responsible for processing leave advisals and monitoring for required actions, processing incoming correspondence from ESDC and Workers’ Compensation Board, and acting as the Regional Occupational Final Appeal Representative (ROFAR) for short-term disability claims. Provides administrative and clerical support to the Disability Management team and may compile monthly statistics on local and regional disability claims.
Job Responsibilities
Processes information for inclusion in the Incident Management System (IMS)/other systems to ensure accuracy and availability of information for regional leaders, based on knowledge of WCB, ESDC, and SAP processes.
Receives information from WCB and ESDC, translates decisions into leave advisals for action by Access HR and Team Leads, and inputs data into IMS.
Reviews and provides information to WCB on injury on duty hours, ensuring consistency with time and leave data. Provides process coaching to team leaders to ensure data accuracy.
Initiates follow-up actions for WCB cases, ensures appropriate case handling, and responds to inquiries.
Additional Responsibilities
Provides administrative support such as scanning, uploading documentation, filing, archiving, reporting, operating office equipment, and ordering supplies. Identifies time-sensitive issues and responds accordingly.
Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers.
Compiles monthly statistics on health and safety matters.
Prepares and distributes reports by accessing and analyzing data within deadlines.
Qualifications
Education
Completion of secondary school or equivalent (GED). Post-secondary courses may be required.
Experience
1-3 years in a fast-paced administrative role.
Candidate Requirements
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
