This temporary position is with NC DNCR – Museum of History, located at 501 South Water Street, Elizabeth City NC, Pasquotank County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
The Dept of Natural and Cultural Resources – Museum of History is seeking a part-time Admin / Museum Tech I to assist with maintaining, updating and refining the collections database at the Museum of the Albemarle with care and precision. The selected candidate for this role will:
Record location of artifacts and track artifact status     Maintain up-to-date paperwork of recent acquisitions, temporary receipts, and loan documents    Number artifacts with their accession numbers    Scan archival documents    Draft condition reports of artifacts    Artifact stabilization, and placing textiles on archival mannequins    Research topics for exhibits and acquisitions    Other duties as assigned
