Administration Officer to Director of Psychiatry Training

Full Time, Ongoing Position

Provide high level administrative oversight of an extensive specialist training program

About The Team

By joining the Psychiatry Training team at Melbourne Health you will be part of a bi-national team of administration officers and psychiatrists working together to deliver the training program of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). One attractive aspect of this role is in that your high level administration skills will be relied upon along with your warm and compassionate support for doctors in training.

Your New Role

Maintain an extensive training database both internally and online with the RANZCP and develop close relationships with hospital staff in Western Victoria to facilitate efficient information sharing.

Provide administrative support to the Director of Psychiatry training including emails, letters, minutes, filing, events and calendar management.

You will be the first point of contact for psychiatry registrars and, with both training and your own initiative, you will be able to respond directly most enquiries supporting over 200 doctors.

About You

Previous administration experience of at least three years with demonstrated attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks requiring regular follow-up.

You like to use your initiative and your compassion to resolve and escalate inquiries appropriately, to work both independently and with direction.

You will enjoy taking on a new and diverse range of responsibilities as the role develops along side the updated training program, such as reviewing surveys and reporting assessment results.

Specifically you will need a high level of skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and a willingness to learn to use the RANZCP training database, Intrain.
