The position of Administration Officer Community Access and Bookings Service (CABS) encompassing the Child Health Service (CHS) and the Child Development Program (CDP) within the Division of Child and Youth Community Health Services (CYCHS) will provide a high level of customer service, demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience, and a positive attitude to assist with the administrative function in the processing of referrals and associated appointment booking processes.

Children's Health Queensland provides a range of community-based services within the Division of Child and Youth Community Health Service that fall under the following specialty areas:
- Community Access Booking Service (CABS)
- Child Health Services
- Child Development Program
- Statewide and Specialised Services including School Based Youth Health, Deadly Ears Program, Pacifikai, Healthy Hearing Program and Primary School Nurse Health Readiness Program

- Dakabin Youth Hub

About The Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values . Your contribution will include:
- Provide an efficient appointment scheduling service for all patients that access services through the CABS team, maximising utilisation of booking times available for clinicians across our teams using treat in turn, treat in time principles in accordance with Queensland Health Policy.
- Efficiently operate the CYCHS phone system (PureCloud), by responding professionally to all incoming calls for the Child Health Service and Child Development Program, ensuring that the caller's enquiry is actioned, transferred, or redirected correctly utilising set scripting within KPI timeframes.
- Make use of Qld Health confidential patient information systems recognising decision making in clinical and management settings depends on accurate, timely, relevant, complete, concise, and readily accessible information and verification of activity and outcomes.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with internal and external clients utilising high level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills incorporating the ability to consult and negotiate with clients and staff at all levels of the organisation.
