THE POSITION

If so, the Bureau of Vehicle Management, within the Department of General Services (DGS) is looking for an Administrative Assistant 1. In this position you will be responsible for compiling all paperwork (titles, used car dispositions, pictures, and more.) and entering appropriate vehicle information, revenue, and appropriation codes into the bureau fleet computer system. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Assistant 1, accuracy of data input is essential, and you will request verification of data with Operations Division when errors are found. Duties include effectively downloading data from bureau fleet computer system, converting to excel, and distributing to auction company who prints and distributes auction brochure listing to the public. You will have the opportunity to communicate with the auction company and DGS Webmaster concerning inspection dates and number of vehicles to be listed. In this position you will also provide the auction company with updated mailing list, answer inquiries from the public, comptrollers, and agencies concerning vehicle auctions. Additional duties include:

Following auctions, reconciling revenue, and ensuring proper transmittal of funds

Providing numerous before and after sale reports to multiple entities

Attending vehicle auctions and signing invoices, titles, and more on behalf of the Commonwealth

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university;or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
