Our client, an established non-profit organization in Ottawa, is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a one year contract position. This is a fully on-site position located in the Bayshore area. This role offers the chance to join a friendly team!
Role and Responsibilities
-Meeting coordination and minute taking
-Expense management and budget tracking
-Order and maintain supplies
-Assist in preparing program materials
-Filing
-Maintain and update written content and online and in various communications
-Scheduling
-Assist with event coordination
-Assist with onboarding of new staff and volunteers
-Assist with obtaining equipment as needed for virtual meetings
-Support with development of policies and procedures
-Stakeholder communications
-Occasional backup reception coverage
-Respond to inquiries
-Work cross-functionally with other teams on various projects/programs
-Other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications and Skills
-Must have a post-secondary degree or diploma
-Must have a minimum of 3 years of administrative work experience
-Experience working in a Non-Profit organization is strongly preferred
-Must be proficient in MS Office
-Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
-Must be able to multi-task and prioritize
-Must have experience with expense management
-Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Must have strong time management skills
-Experience with Events/Program coordination is an asset
