Company Description Fourth Dimension Orthodontics & Craniofacial Orthopedics is a specialist orthodontic practice offering comprehensive orthodontic care for children, adolescents, and adults, from simple aligner cases to complex craniofacial conditions. Led by Dr. Deji Fashemo, the practice combines general orthodontics with a sub-specialty in craniofacial orthopedics, including care for cleft lip and palate and other congenital or acquired anomalies. The team collaborates closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary providers, including surgeons and other doctors, to coordinate treatment from start to finish. Services include early phase-one treatment, braces, surgical orthodontics, and presurgical infant orthopedics/nasoalveolar molding (NAM) when indicated. The practice is known for its gentle, safe, and effective care delivered with sensitivity, respect, and a strong focus on patient comfort and outcomes.
Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Administrative Assistant role based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. The Administrative Assistant will manage front-desk operations, including greeting patients, checking them in and out, scheduling and confirming appointments, and maintaining an organized reception area. This role will handle high-volume phone calls, respond to inquiries, route messages, and support communication between patients, clinical staff, and external partners. Daily responsibilities include managing patient records, performing general clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry, and assisting with correspondence and office mail. The Administrative Assistant will also support the orthodontic team with administrative projects, coordinate with both Dallas and Allen offices as needed, and help ensure a professional, welcoming, and efficient patient experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Administrative Assistance and Executive Administrative Assistance skills, including calendar management, appointment scheduling, and task prioritization.
- Excellent Phone Etiquette and Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare partners.
- Solid Clerical Skills, such as data entry, filing, document organization, and basic office software proficiency (e.g., email, spreadsheets, practice management systems).
- Prior experience in a medical, dental, or orthodontic office is preferred, especially in patient-facing administrative roles.
- High level of attention to detail, reliability, and discretion in handling confidential patient information (HIPAA awareness or willingness to be trained).
- Ability to work on-site in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and contribute positively to a collaborative team culture.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in healthcare administration, office administration, or a related field is a plus.
