Department Summary:

The MITRE Accelerator is a function within MITRE that accelerates and incubates MITRE innovation for public good.  The Accelerator has launched two major initiatives in its first year – MITRE Engenuity, our foundation for public good (501c3 MITRE affiliate), and incubated SecureG, a 5G security company with CTIA and Blu Ventures.  MITRE’s Accelerator Office manage Engenuity – MITRE’s tech foundation for public good.  Engenuity is a ~$15M business comprised of incubations that engage the private sector in public good collaboration such as the Center for Threat Informed Defense (cyber alliance), MITRE ATT&CK Evaluations (fee for service with the cyber vendor community), Open Generation (5G alliance), the Semiconductor Alliance (CHIPS industry collaboration), plus the opportunity to launch spin outs (e.g. MAD20 Training and Certification program launched in 2023).

The MITRE Accelerator is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant with the highest level of personal and professional standards to join our Bedford office team. This position serves two core functions: facilitating the efficient and proactive execution of a broad range of division-level administrative functions and supporting the Managing Director of MITRE Engenuity and Department Managers in leading the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative professional to learn the business, interact with senior-level customers, work closely with MITRE management and staff, Directors, and Corporate Officers, and build strong working relationships with their operations staff and administrative assistants.

Job Description:

Plan, coordinate, and support a variety of division- and department-level meetings. Duties will include preparing agendas and presentations, posting read-ahead materials, arranging various types of meeting venues, completing catering orders, arranging audio-visual (CAVS) and facility requirements, providing set-up assistance for Teams Meeting or VTCs, and organizing the content for these structured meetings for future use and historical purposes.

Collaborate with Operations and Marketing teams to support Bedford-specific activities and events.
