Job Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Administrative Program Assistant position for the College of Education at Oregon State University (OSU).

This position in the College of Education (CoEd) provides unit-level administrative support in the coordination of day-to-day operations, including support for faculty, staff, and students in the academic programs in the Department of Educational Preparation and Research (DEPR). This position also provides some administrative support to the College units on the Corvallis campus: Marketing and Communications, Student Services, the Department of Counseling and Adult and Higher Education, and Graduate Affairs.

DEPR provides undergraduate and/or graduate students with education in the areas of teacher education and the Education PhD, including bachelor’s degrees, graduate certificates, master’s and doctoral degrees for both in-person and Ecampus students, through the work of 21 full-time professional and instructional faculty and staff.

Consistent with the College’s Strategic Plan 2022-2026, this position has been created to improve administrative processes to increase efficiency and support, and to foster a participative, collaborative, and supportive work climate. The incumbent will be a key member of the newly created CoEd Operations Team, which was created to facilitate streamlined workflow in the College. The incumbent will be expected to participate in the continuous improvement in these areas by monitoring workflow and workload, cross-training and occasionally covering for others, and offering suggestions for increased efficiency and support.

What We Require
Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

What We Would Like You to Have
Experience managing student employees.
Knowledge of relational databases, for example Salesforce.
Proven ability to work with sensitive and/or confidential information.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule
Typically works Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in a typical office environment, with possible options for flexible work arrangements some days. Some evening hours may be possible for Department or College events. Physical requirements for the position include lifting boxes no more than 25 pounds.
