As an Administrative Assistant at MedVet, you will perform a broad range of complex tasks to enhance the workflow effectiveness of the team you support. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize, organize and execute work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Success in this role requires a self-driven professional with a passion for delivering excellent service who can handle highly confidential information with discretion. Strong verbal and written communication skills are imperative.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform administrative duties including but not limited to: managing multiple calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, managing expense reports, providing logistical support for meetings, and taking meeting minutes.
Professionally represent MedVet when greeting internal team members, clients, guests and vendors.
Serve as the first point of contact to answer, research and process request from internal team members, clients, guests and vendors.
Screen communications for action items and due dates, bringing key items to the executive(s) attention.
Maintain established workflows, tracking and filing systems.
Prepare and review correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents
Maintain confidentiality.
Maintain office organization relating to general up-keep and supply inventory.
Identify issues and provide recommendations to improve workflow effectiveness and efficiencies.
May participate in special projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Role requires a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in administrative or related role. Experience in the healthcare and/or veterinary industry is a plus but not required.
In addition, this position requires:
Strong knowledge base and ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to smoothly manage multiple calendars, prioritizing time sensitive meetings as needed.
Ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
Capability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; able to cope with change, comfortably shift gears, and take appropriate action without having the total picture.
Highly professional, strong work ethic, self-direction and integrity.
Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization, using tact and diplomacy.
Learn quickly and leverage past experience when faced with new problems; demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills.

Compensation: This position has a hiring range of $20.75-$27hr
