Position Location: This is a full-time position located in Augusta.

The Maine CDC, Rural Health and Primary Care Program (RHPCP) is seeking an Office Associate II to provide high level administrative support to the Rural Health Director, the Rural Health Program Manager, and the Planning and Research Associate II. The position will serve as the primary communications contact for the RHPCP. Specific tasks include working both independently and as a member of the team to generate correspondences, reports, assist program manager with contract monitoring and organize and maintain all electric and paper filing systems. Other duties would include fielding telephone calls, organizing all meetings and performing such duties necessary to assist in the operations and responsibilities of a busy office that supports statewide services.

Core Responsibilities:

As a key member of the RHPCP team, your core responsibilities will include:

Provide first contact support for office communications; including internal partners and outside stakeholders
Coordinate purchasing and filing systems within the office and online environment
Arrange logistics and schedule meetings designed to advance the mission of the program, including set up of remote trainings and team meetings.
Provide administrative support to team focused on the goal of promoting access to quality health care for citizens living in all of Maine’s rural and underserved areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied office support tasks, and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I, Office Assistant II, and Office Associate I.

Preferred candidates will also have:

Excellent customer service skills;
Excellent written communication;
Knowledge and significant experience working with excel, word, publisher, outlook, video conferencing and state-wide databases;
The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external partners;
Ability to work well with the Director, the manager and other staff to identify to meet the needs and demands for a fast-paced program.
