Start date: May 1st, 2025 (Contract ending August 2026)

Location: From office at 1375 Regent St. South Sudbury with occasional events outside the office

Knowledge and Skills

Strong administrative and organizational skills

Accustomed to working independently

Ability to learn and adapt to changing work environments

Attention to detail is critical

Effective communication skills, both oral and written 

Good interpersonal skills to deal with volunteers and the community

Excellent knowledge of computer software applications including all aspects of Microsoft Office

A good team player

Excellent problem-solving skills

Experience in working with non-profit organizations and fundraising experience considered an asset

Fluent in the English language, bilingualism considered an asset

Ability to show compassion and empathy is a requirement in an emotionally challenging workplace

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in managing the office by:

1.     General office duties (document creation and updating, photocopying, mail preparation, filing, answering the phone and emails, interacting with visitors)

2.     Assisting with donor outreach (sending requested materials)

3.     Preparing background materials for volunteers, events and donors

4.     Assisting with preparation of presentation materials (for speaking engagements)

5.     Assisting with various committee and Board meetings when required

6.     Inputting data in multiple systems

7.     Organizing of digital files and regular filing system

8.     Processing of all donation receipts

9.     Assist with design of flyers and brochures for events and social media

10.  Assist with events as required (weekend and after hours work occasionally required)

11.  Other duties as assigned

Hours of Work and Remuneration

This is a full-time position at a rate of $24 per hour for 30 hours per week for the defined contract period (covering maternity leave, with the possibility of an extension). Any overtime worked must be approved in advance unless otherwise arranged and will be compensated on a time in lieu. Compensation provided for travel costs when in the community (CRA rate).
