Education/experience
High school diploma or equivalent required with experience/training in a related field.

Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant for the Academic Budgets supports the operations of the Academic Affairs division with primary responsibilities to include processing faculty/staff hiring, maintaining faculty records, and assisting with financial transactions/budgetary oversight.

Required Qualifications

Excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks

Demonstrated ability to work independently in a busy office setting with minimal supervision

Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Demonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of administrative duties and follow policies and procedures to ensure compliance

Experience with data entry including processing purchasing transactions/budgetary entries

Knowledge of accounting and budgetary systems/processes

Ability to communicate and interact with diverse populations including faculty, staff, University offices and the public

Knowledge of office computing and experience with Microsoft Office

Additional Considerations

Administrative support experience in an academic environment

Education or training in business operations

Working knowledge of eVA, Self-Service Banner, Internet Native Banner, Cognos (or other financial report writing software), PeopleAdmin, Workday

Hiring Range
Pay Band 3 (Starting at $38,000)
