Full Job Description
Modern Chiropractic/Physical Therapy office seeks a friendly people person looking for a career and not just another job! Our front desk position requires exceptional organizational abilities, excellent customer service and communication skills, the ability to multi-task is a MUST, learn quickly, and work efficiently. Knowledge of insurance verification A+. You will be responsible for answering phones, the operation of common computer programs, data entry, scheduling, collections, discussing insurance benefits and fees and other duties required to run the front desk as well as assisting in the back office. A background in healthcare is preferred but not required. We look forward to reviewing your resume and cover letter.
Candidate will be working 30-40 hours/week – Monday to Friday with occasional weekends. Willing to train the right person.
Bilingual speaking Spanish/English preferred
Medical Office Receptionist Job Duties:
1+ year relevant experience in administrative work or a medical setting
1+ year relevant work or experience in a health-related or medical field, preferably involving chiropractic, physical therapy or massage therapy.
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Answering phone calls
Data Entry; Filing and keeping accurate records
Prior Authorization & Insurance verification along with discussing insurance benefits and fees to patient
Scheduling new patients and follow up visits
Collecting payments from patients
Detail oriented, a self-starter with dependable follow through, a desire to learn and take on Increasing responsibilities
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival; reminding provider of service delays.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties; answering patients’ questions; maintaining the reception area.
Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Competent working in a group setting and independently
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Physical Therapy & Chiropractor Front desk: 1 year (Preferred)
Microsoft & Excel Office: 1 year (Preferred)
Spanish (Preferred)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
