A boutique tax office in San Mateo is looking for an organized, detail oriented front office administrative assistant with computer skills to keep our office running smoothly. The ideal candidate would be proficient and experienced in basic administrative tasks, and be willing to learn tax office-specific duties.

Our work is seasonal, this position may be ideal for someone who desires fewer hours or time off in the summer, and is willing to work more in the spring and fall.

Possible to work from home some of the time, but 1-2 days a week in the office is mandatory to handle certain tasks.

Part-time (15-25 hours a week) with the potential to do more during busy periods if desired.

Essential Functions.

1. Answers telephones with a friendly voice, routing calls and taking messages using a multiline telephone system.

2. Greets clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.

3. Handles scheduling of client meetings using Google Calendar.

4. Handles intake of client tax documents using a scanner and Excel.

5. Prints and assembles client tax documents.

6. Tracks projects through their lifecycle.

7. Handles basic email responses.

Job Qualifications

1. Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.

2. Previous experience as a an administrative assistant with client interaction.

3. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, Google Calendar, and general computer skills

4. Ability to use office equipment, including a computer, copier, scanner

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
