Full Job Description

Purpose:Come alongside the Lead Pastor and the Church to assist with day-to-day tasks such as scheduling; reviewing, prioritizing and responding to emails; answering and returning phone calls; organizing documents; maintaining records; taking notes, and taking on any other administrative tasks that help the Lead Pastor and the Church accomplish the mission successfully.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

Ability to build relationships in order to assess, advise and direct a person’s appropriate next steps.

High energy with enthusiasm for South Shore’s Vision.

Exceptional organization and communication skills

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to handle confidential information

Strong attention to detail

Exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence

Excellent interpersonal skills

Capable to handle multiple projects effectively

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Inbox/email management

Calendar management and scheduling

Travel planning and coordination (including writing itineraries)

Writing/scheduling church-wide emails and announcements

Website management

Social Media Management/posting/responding

Expense Tracking / Reporting

Making phone calls

Returning voicemail messages

Sermon prep support

Church Management Software duties/reports

Handling miscellaneous task/projects
