AW Programs – The Office Technician (OT) Typing (T) performs duties for maintenance of efficient flow of paperwork; collection, accounting, filing, and tracking of documents. The OT shall perform clerical work and a variety of duties requiring adaptation to various situations. Provide clerical support for the Custody Captains office when necessary.
Facility B Captain – The OT (T) is responsible for all clerical needs of the Facility Captain and Correctional Counselor II in the facility. This position may have responsibility for functional guidance in training and assisting less experienced employees.
ISU – This position requires the incumbent to maintain consistent and regular attendance; communicate effectively (orally and in writing if both appropriate) in dealing with the public and/or other employees; develop and maintain knowledge and skill related to specific tasks, methodologies, materials, tools and equipment; complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner; and adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance, leave, conduct, and is under the direct supervision of the Investigative Lieutenant.
Visiting – The OT (T) performs secretarial/clerical tasks, must be able to follow oral and written directions, evaluate situations accurately and take effective action. Serves as liaison between the Visiting department and other areas of the institution. Office duties include composing correspondence, filing, mail and document handling, answering phones and other forms of oral communication as well as record keeping and tracking of dated material.
Community Resources Manager (CRM) Office – The OT (T) performs duties for the maintenance of efficient flow of paperwork; collection, accounting, filing, and tracking of documents. Conducts program data entry in data bases, maintains complete up-to-date volunteer information, and oversees and assists with CRM office operations, and maintains compliance with division responsibilities and procedures.
Timekeeping – This position requires detailed and sensitive public contact, independent origination of correspondence involving the knowledge and application of detailed regulations, policies, and procedures, good judgment, and ability to communicate effectively. Duties include work within the Tele-staff Time and Shift System. Acts as a back-up to the Personnel Receptionist as needed. Assist Institutional Personnel Officer with Family Medical Leave Act requests.
Procurement – The OT (T) is responsible for maintaining the copier supplies and ensuring the copier has sufficient paper for the day. Orders all office supplies. Submits and tracks work orders to Plant Operations. Receives, reviews, copies, and submits all CDCR 998’s for the Procurement department.
Chief Deputy Warden (CDW) – The OT (T) is responsible for all secretarial support to the CDW, this position provides administrative support, staff assistance and secretarial support services on institutional departmental matters regarding a variety of highly sensitive and complex issues. Duties are carried out independently, utilizing a high level of initiative and sound decision-making skills.
Warehouse – Duties include a variety of technical business service duties in a variety of functions to include institutional purchasing, performs difficult clerical tasks, review and follow written procurement and warehousing procedures, operate a computer and printer, prepare, review, type various reports and correspondence independently. Handle calls and problems with vendors.

Working Conditions
About the location – California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) is located in Norco, CA (Riverside County).
CRC is a medium Level II Non-Designated Programming Facility, centrally located near San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Orange counties and near highways 15, 60, and 91. The primary goals of CRC are to provide an atmosphere of safety and security to the public, visitors, staff, and incarcerated people. The administration at CRC is cognizant of the rights and entitlements of all CRC commitments. We fully support and adhere to a guidelines and provisions governing the Disability Placement Program and the Correctional Clinical Case Management System. In addition to staffing, CRC is also responsible for providing 100+ correctional custody personnel to provide medical guarding and transportation services to Patton State Hospital. CRC also provides Fire Suppression, Conservation, and Community Service assistance to the public.
The Norconian Resort is located on CRC grounds, the resort complex (formally known as Lake Norconian Club) is still largely intact after 70 years as a Naval Base and Prison, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. CRC offers an on-site fitness center for staff, nearby shopping centers, and restaurants.
