Job Summary
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a personnel representative with advanced administrative and computer skills to provide complex administrative support to the department’s centralized faculty and staff administration team. The Pediatrics Personnel Representative plans and implements all administrative aspects of the department’s centralized staff hiring and onboarding process for the Department of Pediatrics consisting of 27 divisions and enterprises, and more than 800 staff employees. Ensures goals and objectives are in accordance with established criteria. Interprets hiring and onboarding policies and advises hiring managers and new staff hires on the application of regulations and guidelines. Functions as a key member of the department’s centralized faculty and staff administration team.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Oversees all administrative aspects of the department’s centralized pre-employment/hiring process. Advises hiring managers and new staff hires on hiring guidelines and processes.
In conjunction with department leadership and division administrators, develops and implements hiring goals and objectives.
Schedules pre-employment checks, obtains new hire paperwork, and processes new hire ePafs.
Assists with the staff onboarding process. Informs hiring managers when candidates have been cleared to hire and provides onboarding instructions. Coordinates and meets with new hires to complete hiring documents including the electronic employment eligibility veri…
