POSITION OVERVIEW

The Online Campus (OC) of First Baptist Church of Glenarden (FBCG) is a multi-media driven Church community whose mission is to develop dynamic digital disciples. Currently, there are over 2,000 FBCG members through the OC on 6 continents. As the OC is growing and expanding, the need for administrative support has also grown. We are seeking a full-time Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Online Campus and the Online Campus Pastor with database maintenance, preparing reports and presentations, volunteer management, digital course creation and management, calendar and email management, updating online applications and social media moderation as needed. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate Biblical principles day-to-day in the workplace and treat others with respect and compassion while demonstrating a heart to serve all people who worship, work for or visit the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. A great deal of flexibility and patience is required. In this role, you will help further the mission of First Baptist Church of Glenarden International, which is to develop dynamic disciples through discipleship, discipline and duplication by attending Sunday Services, Bible Study and Prayer Services and by sharing your administrative gift to provide structure and resources for the online community and its volunteers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with implementing technology and maintaining databases to support the online campus.
Creates, manages and updates membership records, weekly campus correspondence, virtual group presentations, virtual baptism records, and virtual group meeting schedules.
Responds to campus emails using Outlook.
Provides direct administrative support to the Online Campus Pastor, including preparing reports and meeting notes, managing the calendar and voicemail, and liaising with Online Campus volunteer teams.
Supports the social media director as needed, primarily with capturing or creating digital content for our social platforms.
Updates digital Bible Study notes tool and other tools to support campus volunteers.
Assists with the development and maintenance of the digital course and community platform.
Ensures the Online Campus website collateral is updated.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be saved, have a servant’s heart, and be a member, in good standing or willing to join and become a member in good standing of FBCG.
Must be able to submit to authorities as defined by the Pastor.
Must possess a gracious, Christ-like demeanor in demanding situations.
Must have an understanding and appreciation for the ministry and the mission of FBCG International.
Minimum two (2) years of directly related experience as an assistant to an executive or Pastor.
Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to edit copy.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
Intermediate knowledge of popular social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
Ability to create social media content.
Working knowledge of Canva.
Experience with Google Workspace, Zoom, and Office 365.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality products on deadline.
Ability to work independently and in teams and resolve practical problems.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to be extremely flexible in an environment that is subject to many “spur of the moment” changes.
Experience with Church Management software.
Project management experience is also a plus.
Knowledge of course creation platforms (e.g., Teachable, Thinkific) is preferred.
Facebook Community Manager certification, a plus.
Must be able to sit and work online for several hours.
Hybrid work schedule: 2 days per week in office required.
Some overnight travel is required <10 days per calendar year.
