The Department of Agriculture is seeking candidates for a Clerical Assistant 2 position to provide administrative support to the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission office to ensure its operation is conducted efficiently and effectively.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2 in this position, you will compose correspondence in reference to license applications and generate approved licenses, perform timekeeper duties, address and route inquiries from the public, order and maintain supplies, and assist judges with general clerical duties as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Graduation from high school; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

Post employment requirement: This position will require possession of a Commission License once hired.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
