Description
Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center (KCPC) is the only state designated forensic psychiatric hospital in the state of Kentucky. Inpatient and outpatient services are rendered statewide to all 120 Kentucky counties. We are looking for an Administrative Specialist Senior to join our admissions department. Our team has a 37.5- hour work week and benefits include health and life insurance, paid sick and vacation leave and retirement benefits

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provides professional support to the Director of Admissions at Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center (KCPC) in developing, implementing, and maintain complex Admissions programs, projects or activities.
Executes functions of the Admission Discharge Transfers (ADT) and clinical treatment planning programs of KCPC’s complex organizational segments and recommends changes for the improvement of these programs.
Plans, organizes, and supervises the functions of ADT and function of clinical assignment for the entire facility.
Implements, compiles and presents complex interpretive reports and summaries of statistical information.
Acts as a liaison between judges, attorneys, and Comp Care Centers to communicate the status of referrals including obtaining needed information, scheduling and information.
Executes documents of a complex nature to administrators, attorneys, judges, sheriffs and jailers according to policies and procedures.
Contacts comprehensive care center to resolve inconsistencies of in accuracies in records and/or reports.
Interprets and applies laws, rules, regulations and policies according to the processing of court orders and qualifications for admission to KCPC.
Reviews state federal, legislative or administrative regulation changes to determine the applicability to KCPC programs.
Plans and notifies patients of travel to court and assures that proper documentation is received for such travel.
Enters all patient data for use in professional communications with jails, sheriffs, judges, lawyers and comprehensive care centers.
Executes outpatient evaluation assignments.
Coordinate all necessary admission and discharge processes.
Appropriately processes Discharge Referral Form upon completion by doctor.
Assigns evaluation and treatment teams appropriately to patients upon scheduling for admission.
Assists KCPC evaluators/physicians by reviewing complex unusual court orders and relaying specific information concerning the patient and the case.
Appropriately handles incoming faxes and acts as backup in retrieving faxes.
Plans and organizes weekly visitation report.
Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate would have:
Knowledge of Judicial System and/or Courtnet preferred

Ability to multitask

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
