Are you looking for an internship where you can take real responsibility from day one?
Last Week in Denmark is looking for a full-time Community & Operations Intern to help manage and support our growing volunteer community, assist with events, and ensure that our daily operations run smoothly.
You will become part of a dynamic international team and gain hands-on experience in recruitment, volunteer management, event coordination, operations, communications, and community building.
This is not a coffee-making internship. You will be trusted with meaningful responsibilities and have a direct impact on a community that reaches thousands of internationals across Denmark every week.

Last Week in Denmark is Denmark's largest English-language newsletter and media platform for internationals.
Every week we help thousands of people better understand Danish society, politics, culture, work life, and opportunities. Behind the scenes, we work with a volunteer community of more than 100 contributors from dozens of nationalities.
As our community continues to grow, we are looking for someone who can help us create an outstanding volunteer experience.
Your Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment & HR
- Review volunteer applications
- Schedule and participate in interviews
- Match volunteers with appropriate teams
- Maintain volunteer records and databases
- Assist with recruitment campaigns
- Help develop volunteer policies and procedures
- Welcome and onboard new volunteers
- Prepare onboarding materials and guides
- Ensure volunteers receive access to relevant systems
- Conduct follow-ups with new volunteers
- Coordinate offboarding processes and feedback collection
Volunteer Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for volunteers
- Help solve administrative and operational challenges
- Support team leaders across departments
- Monitor volunteer engagement and participation
- Help improve volunteer retention and satisfaction
Event Coordination
- Support planning and execution of workshops, networking events, conferences, and community gatherings
- Coordinate registrations and participant communication
- Assist with logistics before and during events
- Help recruit and manage event volunteers
Operations & Administration
- Maintain internal documentation and procedures
- Assist with project coordination
- Prepare reports and statistics
- Support management with operational tasks
- Help improve workflows and organizational systems
