Position Summary
Position Summary:
Serves as the Remote Learning/Credit Conversion team’s primary point of contact and provides proactive customer care to a diverse population of learners and internal administrators. Administers the daily operations of the Credit Conversion Program. Scans the external environment for threats and opportunities and interprets such activity with Remote Learning Program Coordinator and works with the supervisor to strategize responses to such threats and opportunities. Monitors trends of learner behavior and concerns to fine tune communications. Uses varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
1. Administers all aspects of the Credit Conversion Program including performing the associated admission, transcript evaluation, credit and grade posting, transcript release procedures and monitors student progress and communicates with them throughout the credit conversion lifecycle.
2. Serves as the Remote Learning/Credit Conversion Program team’s primary point of contact with students and provides proactive, transformational customer care to a diverse population of learners and internal administrators.
3. Advises/counsels current and prospective students on the most effective way to facilitate student success.
4. Works independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues by varying styles, approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace.
5. Maintains an in-depth understanding of the Credit Conversion process and department academic programs to work collaboratively with Program Managers to optimize student success.
6. Monitors learner behaviors and concerns, identifies trends, threats, and opportunities, and recommends strategies to refine and enhance marketing and communications.
7. Understands and stays abreast of application technology to improve processes and ensure effective and best practices for the delivery of the Remote Learning/Credit Conversion program.
8. Interprets and adheres to academic policies and procedures, administrative business processes, and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations. Exercises discretion and sound judgment in all matters. Maintains confidentiality regarding personnel and student matters.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree
2. Two (2) years of experience in customer service and/or administrative support
3. Two (2) years of experience in managing confidential records
4. Two (2) years of experience using data management systems
Desired Qualifications
1. Experience in higher education, specifically in an enrollment services area such as admissions or registration
2. Experience with policies and regulations governing student records
3. Experience streamlining processes to maximize efficiency
4. Experience with conducting market research
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
6. Experience serving a national, diverse student and/or customer population
