Applications are invited for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Sales Support department at Sagicor Life Inc. The successful candidate will report to the Branch Manager.
Job Summary
Provide administrative support to the branch.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Processes agent renewal applications (life and general), initiates the necessary follow up with the CBTT and prepares monthly compliance reports.
Prepares Trinidad & Tobago Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors & Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Institute renewals, tracking of studies and agent licenses.
Prepares and reviews recruitment kits. Assists advisors with underwriting, new business, premium histories, production/commission related queries, and procedures for completing application forms.
Prepares monthly requisitions for agents on financing and submits same by the 5th of each month.
Checks all incoming applications and verifies premium payments. Pays 1st premium to the cashier and conducts premium research as necessary.
Keys applications into App-a-Week and prepares new deduction orders.
Records and distributes policy contracts and scans delivery receipts.
Prepares Attending Physician Statements and amendments.
Maintains the petty cash system for the branch.
Collates production reports as requested.
Performs any other related duties and handles special projects as may be requested by management
Education/Experience
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Five CXC passes, including Mathematics and English Language
At least two years administrative or support level experience
An Administrative Professional Designation
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products
Proficiency in typing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good planning and organizational skills
The ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
An appreciation for customer service
The ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-oriented environment
The ability to work with minimal supervision
A high level of professionalism with the ability to receive and handle confidential and sensitive information.
