TheField Operations Bureauis comprised of eight districts that are responsible for traffic law enforcement, collision investigation, and motorist assists on 17,524 miles of state and interstate highways. This position is assigned to District 2 which serves King County.

Duties

This position serves as the primary administrative assistant to the District 2 Commander on administrative matters, and also provides assistance to the four (4) Assistant District Commanders. District 2 is the largest command within the Field Operations Bureau, with 163 fulltime positions.

This position is delegated higher level administrative duties that are normally or appropriately performed by the district commander. The higher-level duties performed by the AA4 will impactallassigned District 2 personnel. The AA4 position functions independently, with delegated authority, and is confidential in nature.

Our new teammate will be able to:

Oversee tracking of due dates, data integrity and management of all reports needed for weekly Command Staff meetings to include Budget, Fatal, and Project Log reports.

Examine monthly Division Cost Reports and works with BFS to identify, communicate, and correct discrepancies.

Manage conference rooms for internal and external groups.

Maintain responsibility district credit cards; set internal controls of ordering, track expenditures of supplies and manage supply inventory.

Manage district travel, issue credit cards for travel and make travel and hotel arrangements for specialized training.

Manage and track training registration/completion.

Compose and edit business communications, directives, district procedures and other communications or documents.

Prepare and reviews confidential correspondence for district commander. Reviews material and reports submitted by district personnel for completeness and compliance with rules, policies, procedures and standards.

Serve as Notary Public for district.

Create and distribute meeting agendas, invitations, and meeting minutes.

In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for 5% geographic pay for positions located in King County.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, or general administrative work.

An Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related fields may substitute for two years of the required experience.
