General Description
Under general direction of the administrator, performs advanced level work by assuming responsibility for adjunctive administrative duties. Applies in-depth knowledge of program areas, the mission of the facility, and the administrator’s jurisdiction, policies, and views. Provides support services to the administrator by supplying specific information, composing reports and correspondence, taking initiative, and/or improving facility procedures, policies, rules, and regulations. Performs administrative support for the facility administrator. Work is confidential. Performs other duties as assigned. Mandatory overtime is an essential job function of this position.
Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a criminal background check and a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Experience:
Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience performing clerical duties that encompass a wide range of office practices, which include typing, screening and routing telephone calls and correspondence, and composing routine correspondence.
Substitution Information: Additional education and experience may be substituted based on a year-for-year basis or as determined by the Office of Shared Administration Equivalency Chart.
