Hospice of Lenawee is hiring for a:

Temporary Part-time Administrative Specialist

Temporary = 90 Days

Part-time = 24 Hours per Week

This position could potentially work into a full-time permanent role.

The Administrative Specialist supports the mission of Hospice of Lenawee through direct support of the Development office and Leadership Team.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Supports Leadership Team on special projects.
Prepares Board correspondence and meeting minutes on behalf of Leadership Team, as requested.
Records donations and prepares acknowledgement letters to donors.
Maintains and orders office supplies as needed.
Maintains donor lists utilizing donor database.
Prepares donor reports as requested.
Maintains Hospice of Lenawee Board of Directors roster.
Supports reception desk as needed.
Makes arrangements as requested, such as coordinating catering for luncheons, for Development Committees, Board of Directors, and other meetings.
Actively looks for ways to support Leadership and other team members.
Attends and records minutes for all Development Council committee meetings.
Provides the point of contact for all HOL events, registering and answering questions for attendees.
Provide administrative support for all fundraising events.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrates proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrates ability to think critically, problem solve, and is solution oriented.
Demonstrates excellent customer service, both internally and externally.
Possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with patients, families, and other team members.
Demonstrates ability to function as a team member, collaborate with coworkers on different shifts, positions, and departments to promote teamwork and inclusion.
Demonstrates interest, compassion, and empathy for the terminally ill and is comfortable with issues of death and dying.
Is self-aware and asks for help when the need arises.
Demonstrates ability to read, write, and follow direction and instruction.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

Education/Credentials:

Completion of college level courses.
Associates degree, preferred.

Experience:
Experience working with donors, committees, and Boards, preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for certain requirements.

Position Status/Classification: Non-exempt, Hourly, Regular
