Job Description :
– Perform pre-testing procedures such as measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and depth perception.
– Assist with patient history taking and documenting medical records.
– Prepare patients for examination by the optometrist.
– Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the optometrist.
– Conduct diagnostic tests and imaging procedures, such as retinal imaging and visual field testing.
– Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
– Assist with contact lens fittings and ordering.
Requirements :
– Knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and common eye conditions.
– Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (Epic experience preferred).
– Strong retail sales skills
– Proficient in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
– Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting.
– Knowledge of ophthalmology terminology and procedures is a plus.
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
