Role Description

Award winning, fast paced, multilingual Personal Lines Insurance Agency is expanding and looking for a BILINGUAL (SPANISH OR PORTUGUESE) Renewal Billing Specialist, full time position, Monday – Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

This is NOT a sales nor collections position, the role is to work with renewal communication with the clients and internal billing ( no collections ).

Must be a team player, prior experience working in the insurance market is a plus but not required. Must be reliable, dependable and be a fast learner. Due to the scope of work must pass a background check and work reference is required. We are looking for an analytical personality with excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Renewal communications
  • Billing reminders
  • Process payments in different carriers sites
  • Assist with agency management system (AMS360)
  • Effective communication (written and spoken) in order to write clear and professional e-mails and letters as well as over the phone
  • Create and update Excel spreadsheets using different features of the program
  • Use outlook throughout the day
  • Communicate via phone with current clients
  • Type letters and newsletters to be sent via our communications platform
  • Download renewal information from different carriers to individual client folders
  • Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Candidate will attempt to renew all accounts provided.
  • Candidate will attempt to convert as many monthly payments that are past due in payment into annual payments to avoid future failed billings
  • Candidate will act as single point of contact for all calls, e-mail and online requests from the customer
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualificationsand Skills (DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Must be bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese)
  • Proficient in Microsoft office ( EXCEL, OUTLOOK AND WORD )
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills both written and spoken in both languages, required to prepare e-mails, letters and newsletters
  • Handle multiple tasks efficiently
