Position: Administrative Assistant (222-Day) Brew Tech Magnet High School
Administrative Assistant – High School – 222 Days Essential Functions
- Perform various clerical and administrative support for an office or administrator.
- Prepare correspondence, files, and documents using a word processor or other data management software.
- Serve as point of contact for an office, providing information and guidance.
- Maintain files, inventories, and other records both manually and automated.
- Foster a positive relationship with parents, volunteers, and other school visitors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Regular and punctual attendance required.
- Create letters, forms, and other associated documents.
- Type a variety of routine and complex documents, reports, forms, and correspondence.
- Assist with various administrative and student‑related activities such as registration, calling absentees, preparing reports, contacting parents, checking students in/out, and any other related tasks.
- Operate various types of office equipment such as copiers, faxes, scanners, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and information pertaining to individual students and/or the overall program.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or sufficient education, training, and experience to successfully perform the duties of the position.
- Extensive experience in clerical or similar administrative positions.
- Demonstrated experience with automated information management systems, including word processing.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
The funding for and duration of this position are finite, pursuant to the Students First Act of 2011, Section 4(3)(b); tenure may not be gained by time served in this position.

The person selected for this position must agree to a background check, be fingerprinted, and pay a $46.20 fee.
Special note:
For employees starting work after the beginning date of the work term, the salary will be pro‑rated and based on the number of contract days left in the school year, divided by the remaining months in the contract year.
