GENERAL:
The Office Administrator for Children and Youth Services plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of administrative tasks that support programs aimed at children, youth, and their families. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma required
Associate degree in a business-related field and 2 years of experience in an executive office, government, or administrative environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
Knowledge of basic and modern principles, practices, and current developments in the field of Children and Youth.
Ability to coordinate the children and youth program with the court system and probation office.
Ability to maintain up-to-date filing systems, both digital and physical, in accordance with privacy and safeguarding policies.
Ability to prepare correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and other documents as needed.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Children and Youth staff as well as the public.
Ability to function independently and as a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Children and Youth in a variety of specialized administrative projects and duties.
Develop presentations and other meeting documents, minutes, and agendas.
Work closely with the Director regarding departmental regulatory and reporting deadlines, audits and reviews.
Maintain and update computerized case tracking systems and databases noting the progress of each case, preparing delinquency reports and notifying management.
Oversee the content on the departmental website ensuring accurate and up to date information.
Manages staff clearance and certification requirements working closely with Human Resources.
Work closely with the Courts to ensure hearings and meetings are scheduled and communicated effectively.
Develop and maintain filing systems and practices, statistics, manuals, and reports as necessary.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Other duties as assigned.
Special Requirements:
The applicant must pass Childline, Criminal and FBI background checks.
The applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
The applicant must meet and comply with Susquehanna County employment policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods during the work day, with frequent standing, walking and occasional bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and grasping as necessary to carry out essential job duties.
Light work, with occasional lifting/carrying of objects with weights up to 30 pounds.

Pay: $22.33 per hour
