Position Summary
The School Administrative Assistant provides vital support to the Principal and school community through effective communication, organization, and operational assistance. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the school office while maintaining a welcoming, respectful, and Christ-centered environment. The Administrative Assistant serves as the first point of contact for families and visitors, manages records, supports student health needs, and helps coordinate school-wide events and communications.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support & Communication
· Support the School Principal with daily operations, scheduling, and correspondence.
· Prepare professional documents and manage written communications with minimal supervision.
· Greet and assist visitors; screen and prioritize calls, emails, and mail with confidentiality and professionalism.
· Maintain the Principal’s calendar and coordinate appointments and meetings.
· Uphold discretion in handling sensitive or confidential matters.
Office & Records Management
· Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical filing systems.
· Manage inventory and ordering of instructional materials and supplies.
· Maintain student data in digital information systems.
Student Health & Supervision
· Provide care for sick or injured students and contact families or emergency services as needed.
· Assist with health screenings and maintain student immunization and health records.
· Supervise students while in the office or awaiting pickup or support.
School Communication & Events
· Create and distribute weekly newsletters and annual Teacher Welcome Letters.
· Assist with preparation and setup for staff meetings and school events.
General School Support
· Offer flexible support to the school team as needed.
· Perform additional administrative or school support duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Certifications
Spiritual Qualifications
· Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior, in alignment with biblical teachings (John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:23)
· Views teaching and/or working with children as a spiritual calling, and recognizes this position at this Christian school is part of God’s plan.
· Lives out a Christ-centered lifestyle, modeling integrity, compassion, and godly character both in and out of the school building (1 Timothy 4:12), serving as a positive spiritual influence to students, colleagues, and the broader community.

Required Certifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Additional education or professional development in office administration, education, or related fields preferred.
· Combination of training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the responsibilities of the position effectively.
· CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)

· First aid basics and student wellness protocols.

Physical & Environmental Demands
· Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and occasionally lift materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
· Requires frequent use of standard office equipment.
· Work occurs in a fast-paced school environment with frequent interruptions.
Work Schedule & Compensation
· Full-Time, 12-month position
· Monday–Friday, approximately 40 hours per week
· Hourly pay based on experience and education

Reporting Structure
· Reports directly to the School Principal
· Collaborates with teachers, support staff, and families
· Serves as the school office point of contact for internal and external communication
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
