Role Overview
- Type: Full time – Contractor, 1-year (renewable)
- Seniority: 2+ years of experience
- Client: Healthcare service in Singapore
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and keying in insurance claims on behalf of patients, making sure submissions are accurate and timely
- Managing the online booking system – taking new appointments, rescheduling, and keeping the calendar organised
- Handling inbound phone and email inquiries from patients and routing them to the right person
- Communicating with patients in a professional and empathetic manner, whether it s confirming appointments, following up on claims, or answering routine questions
Requirements
- Prior experience in a healthcare admin or medical secretary type role
- Comfortable working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or practice management systems
- Solid understanding of insurance claim processes – knows what information is needed and how to key it correctly
- Strong written and spoken English – patient-facing communication is a big part of this role
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently in a remote setup
- Good with people – empathetic and calm, especially when dealing with patients who may be stressed or confused
- Background supporting clinics, GP practices, or specialist healthcare providers
