Full Job Description

Under the general direction of the Deputy Director (Exempt), the Administrative Assistant I (AA I) will perform, with a high degree of responsibility and independence a variety of administrative duties associated with the oversight of the management of the Division. The AA I will function with minimal instructions, utilizing tact and good judgment in the discharge of assigned duties.

The Administrative Assistant I is directly supervised by the Deputy Director and provides support to three Assistant Deputy Directors. Because minimum supervision is received, the incumbent must anticipate needs of the Deputy and be able to make decisions independently and assume responsibility. Tact, good judgment, and the ability to respond quickly and accurately are essential.
