Summary of Work

This position involves front-desk and administrative support duties within a probation or parole office. Responsibilities include greeting and directing clients, responding to inquiries about supervision status, answering and directing phone calls, maintaining officer appointment schedules, and handling correspondence and mail. The role also involves maintaining offender files, entering data, preparing monthly reports, managing office supplies, and creating or revising forms. Additionally, the position includes conducting Pre-Sentence Investigations and collaborating professionally with local stakeholders on client supervision matters.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires an associate degree with major coursework in office support or business or office education and one year of work experience performing a variety of office support, clerical, or secretarial work. Additional work experience performing office support, clerical, or secretarial duties may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for year basis. Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills needed for performing job duties. Preference may be given to those individuals who have experience with Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and possess prioritization and time management skills. Individual must be flexible and innovative in carrying out assigned responsibilities. Must successfully complete standard background and criminal record check.
