Administrative Assistant II to Director – International School of the Jobs in San Antonio, TX at North East Independent School District
Job Description:
As the Administrative Assistant, the main purpose of the position is to provide general administrative support for the church and staff.
Duties:
Serves as the administrator of the church office.
Handles miscellaneous office duties such as answering the phone, ordering supplies, organizing and maintaining files, and other clerical duties.
Processes the invoices for office purchases and utilities.
Works closely with the senior pastor regarding the day-to-day operations.
Serves as the Building Use Coordinator and communicates with the Property Committee as needed.
Maintains the church calendar, publicizes it on the website, and communicates with the Council Chair and all committees as necessary.
Creates the weekly bulletin for Sunday’s service with input from Pastor, Worship Ministry, and Music Director.
Helps create, edit, and produce the church’s printed and on-line communications, i.e., e-mails, newsletters, bulletins, and general correspondence with the input from the committees and council.
Returns voicemail calls as needed or directs to the appropriate person(s).
Maintains the church website and downloads the Sunday service to the website.
Collaborates with downtown Greenfield businesses on local events.
Oversees content updates for existing brochures and promotional materials as needed with Invitation and other ministries.
Serves as the Electronic Communications Committee Administrator for entering approved language on the website, Facebook, electronic sign, and other media.
Prints and organizes packets for monthly Executive Council meetings.
Prepares bi-weekly payroll vouchers for all church staff.
Works with the Contributions Recorder as appropriate, i.e., thank you notes, member lists, and adding new members to the list.
Reconciles the office monthly credit card information to submit to the invoice processor.
Refers those in need to the appropriate agency.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in administrative skills.
Proficient in computer operations/software — Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficient using social media (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
Excellent organizational and planning skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Open and willing to learn and implement new technologies.
Works well in a team environment.
Ability to work alone and be productive.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrates personal skills to interact well with congregants and others as necessary.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
