Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at our medical facility. Our focus of care is hearing loss. Unlike many hearing aid dealers, we provide medical, surgical and hearing aid solutions to our hearing compromised patients.

Duties:

-Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor

-Register new patients and update existing patient information in electronic medical records systems

-Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member

-Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar

-Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays or payments from patients

-Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

-Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about our services

-Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow

-Assist in handling and maintaining hearing aid devices. Opportunities for development of these skills are available

Skills:

-Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, Hearing Aid Technician or similar role is preferred

-Proficiency in using phone systems and office equipment

-Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures

-Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally

-Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

-Knowledge of electronic medical record systems are a plus

-Experience in hearing aid dispensing to patients while working with audiologists

-Understanding HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
