Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Settlement Administrator to manage ongoing communication with law firms and accurately track personal injury case statuses. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely follow-ups, proper documentation, and accurate financial processing throughout long-term legal cases.

Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: The equivalent of $6.00 USD per hour in the applicant’s local currency

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM CST

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with law firms via email, fax, and phone to obtain and track case status updates
  • Follow up with law firms to confirm receipt of records and coordinate with the records department for resending when necessary
  • Identify cases involving co-counsel and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken
  • Update CRM systems with accurate and timely case status information
  • Create invoices using MyCase
  • Receive settlement checks, enter and scan details into the system
  • Deposit checks and maintain proper financial documentation
  • Assist clients and internal teams as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in case tracking, CRM updates, and financial processing
  • Strong persistence and follow-through when managing long-running or delayed cases
  • Clear, professional, and tactful communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage detailed records
  • Proven integrity and ability to handle confidential client and financial information
  • Dependable and consistent in meeting deadlines and supporting cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively address issues
  • Ability to remain composed and professional in high-volume or time-sensitive environments
