THE ANTHONIAN ASSOCIATION seeks a Mission Advancement Coordinator to help support the mission of a public 501(c)(3) Catholic charity, located in Edgewater dedicated to creating greater economic empowerment in poor communities.

Requirements

The position requires strong-lived experience of the Roman Catholic Church, be well-versed in Church doctrine, and be proficient in Italian.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate has experience with donor data gift-entry, is able to travel and drive (both in state and out of Illinois) for special events , can execute on multiple tasks at once, he/she is adept at time management, use of technological tools, including utilizing CRM database, MS Office suite, and task management tools. After a trial period of 90 days, the selected candidate will be eligible to receive an increase in hourly pay, and some additional benefits.

Duties

This role will support the Association’s mission development activities (annual fund, events, and prospect grant research) needed to help reach its revenue goals by pursuing contributions from current and new partners, and planning fundraising events. As the business evolves, so may this role. These duties may change as the leadership identifies the need at any time.

1. Demonstrate strong interest and alignment with Association’s mission and vision.

2. Fluency/proficiency in Italian language and culture

3. Knowledge of philanthropic methods to support fund raising activities

4. Strong writing and editing skills

5. Strong organizational and math skills

6. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities

7. Strong verbal and listening skills

8. Detail orientation and high work ethic

9. Able to handle confidential and sensitive information

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Psychology, Fundraising, or any related field (preferred). + 1 years of relevant experience in Fundraising and Development
