Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant I provides a high level of administrative support for The College of Nursing & Health Innovation’s (CONHI) Dean’s Office. The position provides general administrative support to the Dean’s Office and its team members. Requires a broad understanding of organizational operations and procedures. May handle confidential and sensitive material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Addresses and resolves routine problems within CONHI; apply internal and external policies and procedure during the resolution of problems.
Serves a liaison between the CONHI and its team members
Creates routine correspondence and maintains files and records
Manages and maintains department calendars; organizes schedules and meetings
Serves as the customer facing representative for CONHI.
Greets all guests, faculty & staff. Creates an atmosphere of approachability and safety.
May perform administrative projects designed to improve the efficiency of CONHI.
Maintain employee records and track annual appointments for CONHI.
Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma.
Two (2) years of secretarial/administrative experience or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role.
Proficient experience in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
One (1) of upper-level secretarial (C-Suite) experience.
Experience working with MyMav, Sharepoint and UT Share.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
Ability to maintain accurate records.
Skilled in written and oral communication skills.
Ability to resolving routine problems and make decisions.
Ability to draft, read and comprehend a variety of correspondence.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize work.
Skilled in preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
Skilled in applying logical thinking to solve problems or accomplish tasks.
Ability to understand, interpret and communicate policies, procedures, and protocols.
