We are actively seeking community-focused individuals to partner with us and apply and become an Administrative Assistant II for Phoenix, Arizona, the 5th largest city in the United States.
The Administrative Assistant II will oversee a dedicated team of Criminal Intelligence Analysts and Coplogic Officers, playing a crucial role in our department’s crime analysis, research, and citizen online reporting endeavors. The Administrative Assistant II will oversee both sworn and civilian positions and contribute significantly by furnishing essential data and insights into departmental and online reporting trends. Additionally, they will actively engage in various research initiatives, forging partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent is responsible for working collaboratively with the unit manager to set the crime analysis and Coplogic teams’, goals and expectations. The selected candidate will also furnish crime statistics to City and Police Department Executives, the City Council, and community stakeholders. The Administrative Assistant II will be responsible for overseeing the quality of work produced by the crime analysis and Coplogic citizen online reporting teams. Professionalism, strong communication skills, and a positive, supportive attitude are a must.

SALARY
Pay Range: $63,044 to $107,806 annually.
Hiring Range: $63,044 to $97,780 annually.
Pay Range Explanation:
Pay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification.
Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or a related field.
Three years of professional experience in public administration or governmental research or finance.
Other combinations of education and experience that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
Working irregular hours, second and/or third shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings may be required.
Supervisory experience and skills in a team environment.
Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
Experience delivering professional communication, written and oral, including public speaking.
Experience making presentations to a wide variety of both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Experience with hosting virtual meetings.
Experience updating policies and procedures.
Experience developing content for instruction and delivering training to groups of individuals inside and outside of the city.
One year experience supervising, training, mentoring workgroups.
Experience with performing statistical work, analytical research, and link analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, SSRS, Crystal Reports, and TEAMS.
